What household task support is
Household task support is NDIS funding for practical help with domestic tasks you cannot safely or independently complete because of your disability.
It is not a general cleaning or home maintenance service. It is funded support, provided because your disability creates a direct barrier to managing your home on your own.
Household task support is for participants who find it difficult or unsafe to complete domestic tasks due to their disability. This might be because of physical limitations, fatigue, pain, cognitive difficulties, or mental health conditions that affect your capacity to manage day-to-day home life.
What we help with
SA Holistic Care is registered under NDIS registration group 0120, Household Tasks. We provide support with:
Cleaning
Vacuuming, mopping, bathroom and toilet cleaning, kitchen surfaces, appliances, dusting, emptying bins, and general tidying. Essential hygiene and safety, not cosmetic or deep cleaning.
Laundry
Washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes and bed linen.
Meal preparation
Planning and preparing meals that meet your dietary needs. The NDIS funds the support worker's time, not the cost of groceries.
Grocery and errands support
Assistance with shopping and running essential household errands. Your support worker's time is funded, not the cost of goods.
Home organisation
Help organising your living space so it is safe, accessible, and manageable for you.
Yard and outdoor maintenance
Basic lawn mowing, weeding, clearing pathways, and maintaining outdoor areas so they are safe and accessible. Minor home maintenance directly related to your disability needs.
What household task support does not cover
Household task support does not cover:
If you need physical modifications to your home, grab rails, ramps, or bathroom modifications, those are funded under a separate category: Capital Supports, Home Modifications.
Is this support right for you?
Household task support may be right for you if:
Household task funding is based on your functional capacity, what your disability prevents you from doing safely, not your diagnosis alone. Your occupational therapist or support coordinator can help document this clearly if it is not already in your plan.
If household tasks are not currently funded in your plan, you can request they be included at your next plan review by explaining how your disability affects your ability to complete them.
How to get started
Our process is designed to make it easy for you to start with us
A conversation about your needs
Call us, submit an enquiry , or book a free consultation. Tell us your current situation, your routine, and what's most important to get right.
We confirm your funding
We check what your NDIS plan covers and how many hours of household support are funded. If you have a plan manager or support coordinator, we work with them directly.
We agree on what support you need
We talk through which tasks you need help with, how often, and when. Support is built around your home and your routine, not a standard package.
Support begins
You are matched with a consistent support worker. Support starts on a schedule that works for you.
Regular check-ins
We check in regularly to make sure support is working. If your needs change, your support plan is adjusted.
